Testimony in death
I heard about this on Wretched radio and decided to check it out.  It will touch anyone with a heart.  This man and his wife had a blog where they posted pictures and wrote about their family.  Then in February of 2007 a blog entry is titled "Sideswiped by Cancer".  The blog became a documentary of the faith of this man and his wife.

This young couple were able to give glory to God and hold onto their faith.  Grace wrote blogs speaking of her husband and his suffering.  Andrew Mark passed away at the age of 27 on February 7th.  He left a beautiful wife and 2 kids.  The testimony is incredible and the spiritual maturity of this family is remarkable.

The question in the title was, "Are you ready to die well?"  The ultimate statistic says your day is coming...... there is a 100% chance of it.  This young couple didn't grow a faith in Christ when trouble found them.  They were already strongly anchored in Christ when Andrew was 'sideswiped'.  He had a deep and abiding faith when he needed it.  His body went through much suffering and pain but he didn't lose sight of eternity - and just as important, neither did his wife.  Andrew was a normal man when the doctor told him he had Cancer that started in his tongue.  Any one of us could find ourself in that same circumstance.

What's the difference in dying well and not?  Dying well might be defined as glorifying God from your deathbed; preaching the gospel every chance you get; being able to praise God in all your circumstances.  His wife sees examples of the grace through the suffering of her husband as he was dying.  She too was preaching the gospel at every opportunity.  The publicity that has come from his death might well bring others to their salvation.  That's dying well; it's trading up; It's using what's left of your life to bring someone else to eternal life.

Give it a look.
